A Redesigned S2000 Front Hub

Unlike the rear hub, which has several aftermarket options, sourcing a stronger front hub is a challenge. After extensive research into existing hubs and potential adaptations, Project E Designs developed a custom replacement specifically for the S2000.

This design improves upon the OEM hub by removing the cut-outs along the back of the flange, the rotor retaining screw holes, and provides an increase in flange thickness to 10 mm. By comparison, the OEM hub is 8.4 mm at the studs, and Honda's weight-saving cut-outs further reduce that thickness to 6.2 mm in between the studs.

These OEM features can create significant stress concentrations in the flange, which contribute to crack initiation and eventual failure. Eliminating them provides additional material and reduces these stress concentrations.

As a result of the increased flange thickness, these hubs are 75 g (0.165 lb) heavier than their stock counterparts.

What's Included

One pair of Project E Designs front hubs — two hubs total.

The hubs are sold bare, with no wheel studs or other OEM hardware included.

Customers will need to supply a new OEM front wheel bearing and their own wheel studs. The OEM bearing circlip, ABS tone ring, axle nut, and dust cap may be reused where appropriate.

The hub accepts OEM S2000 wheel studs as well as compatible aftermarket studs.
